The Alaska Gasline Development Corporation won't allow its new president to hire his own daughter to work at a new marketing office in Houston, Texas.

The Alaska Dispatch reports that the A-G-D-C board approved Keith Meyer's idea to open a small office in Houston, where he also owns a natural gas company, L-N-G America.

Meyer said he would staff an office for the state corporation with 3 to 5 personnel from his company, including his daughter, who does administrative work.

A-G-D-C Chair David Cruz tells the Alaska Dispatch the board will make sure the corporation is not exposed to any violation of nepotism regulations.
