Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) The state collected about $50,000 less in taxes from marijuana sales in December.
The monthly report showed $870,00 was collected in November compared to $920,000 in October. State officials said they weren't exactly sure the reason for the decline.
They speculate that some of the reasons could be market conditions, holiday shopping, or even growing cycles of marijuana crops. The revenues had steadily grown since the the tax was imposed.
