Alaska State Trooper catches 13-Year-Old driving in Ketchikan

    Juneau, AK (KINY)- On 10/07/2017 at about 6:50 in the evening, an Alaska State Trooper working in Ketchikan stopped a 13 year old for driving with headlights off.

    On 10/07/2017 at about 6:50 in the evening, an Alaska State Trooper working in Ketchikan conducted a traffic stop on a red Ford Focus near the intersection of Trollers Lane and North Tongass Highway.  The vehicle was stopped for driving without headlights after dark.  The driver was identified as a 13- year- old male from Ketchikan. The juvenile was released to his parent and issued a summons for  operating a motor vehicle without a valid operator's license.  

    The investigation revealed the passenger and owner of the vehicle, 54 year old Connie McReynolds of Ketchikan, allowed the 13 year old juvenile to drive the vehicle. McReynolds was issued a summons for Permitting an Unauthorized Person to drive.
