Alleged robber threatens employees

    Fairbanks, Alaska (KINY) Store employees were threatened with being stabbed during a shoplifting incident Tuesday.

    A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers said Sterling Thomas, 22, allegedly shoplifted a jacket and was confronted by store personnel at Beaver Sports as he left.  Troopers added that Mr. Thomas threatened to stab the employee with a four inch knife.

    Mr. Thomas allegedly brandished the knife as he continued to walk away from them.  Troopers charged him with first degree robbery, third degree theft, third degree assault and resisting arrest.  He was taken to the Fairbanks Correctional Center to await arraignment.
