Assembly candidate Schoenberger introduces himself to voters on Action Line

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau Assembly District 2 candidate Garrett Schoenberger introduced himself to voters on Action Line Thursday.

    He said he was born and raised in Alaska.  His family moved from Yakutat to Juneau in time for him to attend third grade here.

    Schoenberger graduated from Juneau Douglas High School.  He graduated from  Arizona State University where he played catcher for the baseball team.  He started his career in commercial real estate in Arizona following graduation.   He moved back to Juneau a little over a year ago for lifestyle reasons he said.  Schoenberger plans to get married September 21, hopes to start a family, and said he chose Juneau.

    When  asked why he decided to run for the Assembly, he said, "To make a difference.  I saw an opportunity and threw my hat in the ring."
