JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - Alaskans are coming together for a rally Thursday at the capitol to advocate for long term planning to address Alaska's health care issues and an end to the use of health care as a political pawn, according to a news release from Protect our Care Alaska.
The event will feature students from the University of Alaska group "What's the Plan!?!" who are working on gathering signatures for their letter to Alaska's Congressional delegation.
There will be music, commentary from public officials, students, health care professionals and health care advocates, refreshments, including coffee and donuts, and creative homemade signs.
The rally is Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
