CBJ Clerk Laurie Sica details absentee voting locations

JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - In person, absentee voting in advance of next Tuesday's local election remains available to citizens.

News of the North spoke with CBJ Clerk Laurie Sica.

"We have absentee voting stations open at City Hall, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In the Mendenhall Mall annex, there's a station open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and on Saturdays from 6 a.m. through 4 p.m."

We also asked Sica about the rate of absentee voting.

"We're going pretty steady. I think the spring special election brought out a lot of voters, and we're continuing that trend."

Polls will be open election day from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
