Crime of the Week: Burglary sees theft of half-ounce of gold, gold pans

    The total value of the property was estimated to be about $1,500.

    A burglary that saw one or more unidentified individuals take over $1,000 worth of gold and gold pans is being higlighted as Crimeline's Crime of the Week.

    On May 17, 2016 a Juneau resident reported that 2 buildings in the 1000 block of Basin Road were broken into and several items were stolen. The persons entered the property the night before sometime between 630PM on May 16 and 8AM on May 17.

    The unknown subjects stole approximately 160 gold pans and about a half ounce of Gold. The total value of the property was estimated to be about $1,500.
