Cruise ship captain found dead, passenger death on other vessel

    Alaska State Troopers responded to a death of the Captain on board the Admiralty Dream cruise ship, Monday morning around 6:30 in Angoon.

    Alaska State Troopers responded to a death of the Captain on board the Admiralty Dream cruise ship, Monday morning around 6:30 in Angoon.  

    Crew members found Kenneth Adams, 47 of California, deceased in his cabin a little before 6:00.

    The death was not suspicious and foul play is not suspected.  Next of kin has been notified and the body will be transported to Anchorage for autopsy.  

    Also on Monday, Troopers received a report from the Crown Princess of a death of a passenger on board the vessel.  

    Investigation revealed Bonnie Hampton, 73 of Missouri, was found unresponsive in her state room.  Medical personnel responded and were unsuccessful in resuscitation. She was pronounced deceased by a ship physician Sunday afternoon.  The death is not suspicious and no foul play is suspected.  Next of kin has been notified and the body was released to the family.
