Don Young seeks retroactive amendment of financial disclosures

JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - Congressman Don Young says he accidentally failed to disclose his financial interest in a family farm for the last two decades.

The Alaska Dispatch reports that Young sent a letter to the U.S. House clerk in May asking to retroactively amend his financial disclosures to include a portion of a family farm in California he inherited from his mother in 1990.

Young sold his interest last year, earning between $250,000 and $500,000.

When Young was reprimanded in 2014 for failing to disclose gifts, he said he would ensure such oversights would not happen again.
