The Douglas 4th of July Committee celebrates Flag Day on June 14th each year with a community-wide patriotic display contest.

Douglas residents, organizations, and businesses are being asked to fly our country's flag on Tuesday, June 14th, Flag Day. The committee asks that they also decorate their buildings with patriotic colors, flags, lights, flowers, and other decorations.

Categories for the contest are: Apartment, Condo, Business, House, and Non-Profit. The Douglas Volunteer Firefighters will judge the properties at 5:00 pm on the 14th.

People are encouraged to walk or drive around to view the winning patriotic decorations. To help make a great 4th of July holiday in Douglas, the committee asks that decorations remain up until that day.
