Juneau, Alaska (KINY) A public meeting is planned Monday evening to outline the next phase of the City and Borough of Juneau's Downtown Street Improvement Project.
A press release from City Hall said the project team will review the project's history, design elements and construction plans for the second phase. The next phase will encompass all of Front Street, North Franklin Street from the Front Street Intersection up to Second Street, and a portion of First Street.
The work will include the installation of new roadway, sidewalks, lighting and drainage improvements throughout the project area.
The work is a continuation of phase one which wrapped up in May and included improvements on South Franklin Street from Manila Square to Front Street.
Phase two construction is scheduled to take place during the spring and fall of 2018.
The public meeting will be held from 6 to 8 PM in the Treadwell Ballroom of the Westmark Baranof Hotel.
