Drug dealer sentenced to 20 years in jail

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - A Palmer man was sentenced in Federal District Court in Anchorage Monday for multiple drug offenses including distributing heroin that resulted in the death of a man.

    Twenty-seven year old Hiram Luis Ducasse, Jr., was sentenced to 20 years in prison followed by six years of supervised release.

    Ducasse pleaded guilty to the chargeds on June 20

    According to court documents, Ducasse distributed heroin to Michael Chalender, who subsequently died as a result of a heroin overdose.
