Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Fansler is expected to plead guilty to a charge of harassment, a misdemeanor.
The Associated Press reported that Zach Fansler agreed to a negotiated settlement in the case. The Department of Law plans to file a charging document in the case soon.
Fansler resigned from office in February after a woman claimed he hit her so hard in a Juneau motel room that she suffered a ruptured eardrum. He represented District 38 in the house.
According to the Division of Elections website, Fansler is still listed as a democratic candidate for the seat in the August primary.
