Juneau, Alaska (KINY) - One man was hurt and another arrested as the result of an assault reported to Juneau Police early Thursday morning.
Lieutenant Dave Campbell says the call came in to the department at about 12:17 reporting that a man was bleeding inside a residence in the 8900 block of Birch Lane.
When officers arrived they found a 54-year-old man who had one cut on his torso and one cut on his left arm. Paramedics from the Capital City Fire Rescue transported him to Bartlett Regional Hospital.
The investigation revealed that the victim and 52-year-old Juneau resident David Frank Rose got into a fight over a female, described as a 26-year-old Juneau resident. It is alleged that Rose cut the male victim with a box cutter during the fight.
Rose was arrested for Assault in the 3rd Degree and jailed at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held on no bail.
Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor in this incident, according to the lieutenant who says the investigation is continuing.
