Gator outgrows Alaska bathtub

Wasilla, Alaska (KINY) For the second time this year Wasilla police have a gator story to tell.

An animal control officer was dispatched to a residence after a 911 call.  The owner said his gator, now 4-feet-long, was too big to live in the tub anymore.  Wasilla Police alerted Valley Aquatics, a rescue group, and they took the three year old American alligator.  The gator could be returned to Florida.

Earlier this year a 17-foot alligator wandered out of his home in Wasilla and was missing for several days before it returned home.  The police said the living room door had been left open and the gator wandered through it.
