Good Samaritan saves life at docks

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Rodney Jackson, 49, hit his head and fell into the water early today near Marine Park.

    Juneau Police, Capital City Fire Rescue and the man's friends combined to rescue Jackson from the waters. 

    A 911 call was received just after 2 am and police found a man and a woman in the water trying to help Jackson.  The female got out of the water and the man kept a hold of Jackson until firemen could reach him.

    Jackson was unconscious in the water and was revived after he was taken to the dock.   He was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital.  The two people who tried to save him were also treated for hypothermia at the hospital.

    Police spokesperson Erann Kalwara said alcohol was a factor in the incident
