Hunters cited for illegal kill

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Alaska Wildlife Troopers said the pair used a rifle to kill a mountain goat in an area set aside for only bow and arrow.

    Troopers said the goat was killed on September 2nd in the area of West Peak near Juneau.  They report wildlife troopers were told of the kill on September 9th.

    Cort Saviers, 25, and Bryce Saviers, 28, were coth charged with unlawful possession of game.  Cort Saviers was also charged with violation of the conditions on his RG014 permit.

    Both men were scheduled to be arraigned in Juneau District Court on October 11.
