Juneau Crime Line is hosting a meeting next week to help support the Juneau Stop Heroin Start Talking effort.

Representatives of both organizations were guests on Action Line Wednesday.

Crime Line President Luke Thomas said of the meeting, "The meeting is next Wednesday at 7:00PM at the Juneau Police Department and really this is an open meeting for the community to get to know what we're planning for Juneau Stop Heroine as well as what's going on for Juneau Crimeline. The public can expect to hear proactive plans on education within the community as well as how they can get involved with both organizations."

Michele Morgan of Juneau Stop Heroin Start Talking had this reaction to Crime Line's help, "I'll take all the help we can get. As a community it's amazing how many people have stepped up. Volunteers, businesses, and the Juneau Police Department. So I think Juneau Crimeline stepping in is just continuation of that saying that we're in this as a group."

Again that meeting is set for Wednesday, May 18 at 7 p.m. at the Juneau Police Department.
