After a week full of sunshine, Juneau hit a record hi Friday.

"Yesterday the airport in Juneau hit a high of 79.", says Meteorologist Geri Swanson with the National Weather Service in Juneau. "Previously the record was 75 set in 1942. So it was another nice warm day and we're expecting a nice warm day today, as well. The expected high today is 78. If that happens it will be another record." In 1942 on this day, the high reached 74.

Swanson says we will see increasing clouds tonight and tomorrow, with rain moving in Sunday evening. Rain is in the forecast through most of next week, but the good weather is expected to return Friday into next weekend.
