    Juneau Police arrested a man Monday, Memorial Day, for felony DUI after callers reported a late '90's model Dodge pickup hit a light pole on Egan Drive.

    Juneau Police arrested a man Monday, Memorial Day, for felony DUI after callers reported a late '90's model Dodge pickup hit a light pole on Egan Drive. The Police Department had received multiple reports around 6:30 p.m. of an intoxicated driver near Fred Meyer.

    Juneau Police Sgt. Chris Gifford says, "JPD officers located the heavily damaged truck on Glacier Highway near Alaway Avenue, where it was stopped. The vehicle was steaming due to disabling damage to the radiator. The driver of the Dodge, 49 year-old Michael Timothy Whiting, was arrested for felony Driving Under the Influence, Refusing a Breath Test, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center without bail. Damage to the truck was estimated at $3000, and damage to the light pole at more than $7000."
