Juneau Police report business burglary, man arrested wearing stolen clothing

    JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - The Juneau Police Department received a report of an intrusion alarm at a business in the 5100 block of Glacier Highway Sunday morning around 11:30. Police say the business was closed and locked, but while searching the outside of the building, an officer saw a man exiting through a window.

    He was found to be wearing stolen clothing valued at approximately $90.

    He was identified as 35 year old Dirk Daugherty.

    Police believe Daugherty entered the locked business from an adjacent business that was open to the public.

    He was arrested for Burglary in the 2nd Degree, a class C Felony, and Theft the the 4th Degree, a class B Misdemeanor.

    Daugherty was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
