Juneau sets rainfall record Tuesday, storms to come then a break from rain this weekend

    JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - Juneau saw numerous heavy showers Tuesday. Meteorologist Tim Steffen says the 1.28 inches of rainfall set a record. It beat the previous rainfall record of 1.18 inches set in 1981.

    According to the National Weather Service, we may get a short break in the rain this evening and a bit of a break this weekend, before showers return next Monday.

    Steffen also says we could see a storm hit Thursday and Friday:

    Expect high's in the upper 50's and low's in the 40's.
