Knife used in assault

Ketchikan, Alaska (KINY) - Alaska State Troopers arrested a Ketchikan man on charges of assault in the third degree after an argument.

A dispatch from Troopers said they responded to a 911 call from a residence at 12 mile on the North Tongass Highway.

Troopers said Rodney Kraus, 52, was accused of assaulting a family member by threatening them with a knife.  Troopers also said the family member said they were in fear of being physically hurt.

Kraus was also charged with assault in the fourth degree-domestic violence.  He was held at the Ketchikan Correctional Center without bail to await a court appearance.
