Long chase nabs alleged thief

    Delta Junction, Alaska (KINY) Troopers chased a vehicle for 25 miles after the report of a theft.

    The call during lunch hour Monday involved a stolen property disturbance in Delta Junction.

    A trooper dispatch said the located the suspect in a stolen vehicle and chased it for 25 miles.  During the chase several vehicles had to take evasive actions as well as an ambulance responding to an emergency call.

    Previn Deveroux, 32, of Anchorage, faces numerous charges that include failure to stop for a peace officer in the first degree, misconduct with weapons in the third degree, and driving without a license.

    Mr. Deveroux also had multiple arrest warrants for other incidents.  He was held without bond at the Fairbanks Correctional Facility.
