Man and Woman Stab Each Other at Thunder Mountain Residence

    Juneau, AK (KINY) - Two people were involved in an incident in a Thunder Mountain residence that resulted in both being stabbed, resulting in non-life threatening injuries and treatment at Bartlett Regional Hospital.

    The Juneau Police Department released a press release on the incident, which happened on November 15th at approximately 5:40pm in the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road. JPD received multiple reports of the stabbing; they arrived on scene to find a 56-year-old male and a 43-year-old female, both were Juneau residents.

    Investigation revealed that the two were alone in the residence when an argument broke out. The female reported that she had been stabbed by the male and the male reported that he had been stabbed by the female. The woman had one knife wound in her front torso, while the man had one knife wound on his face and another on his upper back. Both were transported to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment.

    The residence was searched and the knife was seized as evidence. Police report that alcohol appears to be a factor in the incident at this time.

    The investigation is ongoing.
