Fairbanks, Alaska (KINY) Police said the suspect had recently been let out of jail.
Jerry Lee Green, 44, faced a host of charges that include vehicle theft in the first degree, theft in the first degree, felony fleeing and attempting to elude, violation of conditions of release and four counts of reckless endangerment.
Alaska State Troopers reported they received a call from Airport Equipment and Rental that a man was attempting to steal the commercial truck and trailer from their parking lot. The truck nearly struck one police vehicle as it drove off. A pursuit ensued and spikes were ultimately deployed to stop the truck.
Police said Green had been let out of jail less than 24 hours before this incident and was still wearing a yellow prison jumpsuit from Fairbanks Correctional and also had his court release paperwork in his pocket.
