Man dead in crash

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) One person was dead and two injured after a collision early today on the Seward Highway.

    Anchorage Police said the collision occurred at Mile 101 near bird Creek.  The vehicles involved were a Chrysler 200 sedan and a Volvo station wagon.

    Officers said it was a head on collision.  The driver of the Volvo, died at the scene.  His name was withheld pending notification of his family.

    The two others were transported to the hospital with non life threatening injury.

    Update *** Anchorage police identified the victim as Jesse Zaugg, 34, of Anchorage.
