Fairbanks, Alaska (KINY) The Alaska Marijuana Control Office is checking into the potency of marijuana produced by one manufacturer.
Frozen Budz's manufacturing license was suspended while the investigation is underway, the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner reported. Frozen Budz's is the largest manufacturer of edible marijuana in Fairbanks. The state is testing whether the company followed product testing protocols.
Director of the Control Office, Erika McConnell said the company's products were labeled with claims the contained 5 mg of THC per serving. She said they could have a great deal more. Cannabis stores have also been told to stop selling Frozen Budz products while the investigation is ongoing. The control office has taken samples and are testing them.
