Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) No decision was made as the Alaska Alcohol Control Board discussed if state law prohibits distilleries and breweries from holding special events.
The Board delayed until January 23 a decision on what qualifies as entertainment at a brewery or distillery.
They did vote to require customers, and not employees, to mix cocktails at these establishments.
A memo from the Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office Director Erika McConnell asked the board to clarify the special events that could range form paintings, author talks and book signings as the events at a brewery and distillery appear to violate Alaska state law.
The Alaska Marijuana Control Board was expected to vote today on whether or not to allow on site consumption of marijuana at businesses that sell marijuana.
