Museums close for Labor Day

    JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - The Alaska State Museum in Juneau will be closed on Monday, September 5, for the Labor Day holiday.

    Normal open hours are daily, seven days a week, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. General admission during normal hours is $12 for adults, $11 for seniors, and visitors 18 and younger, and Friends of the Alaska State Library, Archives, and Museum, and those with passes are admitted free.

    The Sheldon Jackson Museum in Sitka will be closed on Tuesday, September 6th in observance of Labor Day.

    Summer hours at the museum are 9a.m.–5p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and will resume Wednesday September 7th. The museum is closed on Sunday and Monday.

    General admission is $5 for adults, and $4 for seniors, and visitors 18 and younger, Friends of the Sheldon Jackson Museum, and those with passes are admitted free.
