It's national Bike to Work Day today, Friday, May 20th.

Juneau Rides will be hosting a series of events this morning throughout the city to celebrate cycling, including bike mechanics and food stations along the bike routes.

John McConaughey, with Juneau Rides and Cycle Alaska, says bikers will find free drinks and treats like coffee, bacon, bagels, banannas, and more.

At any of the commute stations around town, you can pick up a passport card. Each station has a unique stamp that you can collect on the card when you visit the station. In addition to discounts available at Cycle Alaska and Coppa, each stamp in your passport is worth an entry to win a door prize at the Bike To Work Day Happy Hour Friday afternoon at the Alaskan Brewery Depot.

John was a guest on Capital Chat this week.

Visit Juneau Rides online for more information, and celebrate national Bike to Work Day today.
