The oldest son of former governor Sarah Palin may access a special court for military veterans to face domestic violence charges.

27-year-old Track Palin, who served with the Army's Stryker Brigade in Iraq for a year, was arrested in JAnuary at the family's WAsilla home after allegedly punching a woman in the face and holding a rifle near his head.

Palin's attorney wants the case moved to the Anchorage Veterans Court, which hears misdemeanor cases where accused vets might need behavioral health treatment. Palin himself has to sign off on the plan before the case can be moved.
