Whittier, Alaska (KINY) Alaska State Troopers identified the pilot as Brett Andrews, 31, of Anchorage.

The plane crashed in a remote mountainous region near Whittier on Saturday morning.  The search for the crash site was hampered by bad weather.

A dispatch from Alaska State Troopers said the US Coast Guard, Troopers and Alaska Mountain Rescue joined in the search and reached the site on Sunday to remove the remains.
