Pipeline to cut employees

    Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) Alyeska Pipeline sent a letter to the governor and legislature that announced a 10 percent reduction in work force.

    KTUU news reported that the workforce will be reduced in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Valdez and in the field.  The cuts are expected to take effect in November.

    The company plans to realign into three divisions, operations and maintenance, engineering and risk and child financial officers.
