Police interview shooting suspect

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Juneau Police report no charges were filed after a suspect in a reported assault turned himself in Tuesday night.

    Lt. David Campbell said the suspect, Wilson "Will" Woodrow Curtis Collins, 21, voluntarily came in to the Police Department Monday night, consented to an interview and was later released without an arrest being made.

    Juneau Police Tuesday had put out an alert that requested the community assist in locating Mr. Collins.

    The original report stated one round from a firearm was fired into the ground in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive in the Lemon Creek area just before 1 AM.  The caller reported that their roommate was being assaulted, their vehicle was being damaged and that the person causing the disturbance had fired one shot from a gun.

    Police said the investigation continues.
