Police officers assaulted

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) A pair of incidents led to violence against Juneau Police officers.

    Alcohol may have played a role early Friday when Juneau Police responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Harris Street.  Police encountered three individuals who allegedly started a scuffle with police.

    One officer was injured in the incident.

    Police arrested Kelly Stevens, 33, on charges of assault of a police officer, two counts of resisting arrest with violence and criminal mischief.

    Also charged  were David Fuchs, 41, and Felicia Evenson, 29, on charges of interference with police.

    In a separate incident Ernest Joseph, 48, was charge with assault in the second degree and assault in the fourth degree.  Joseph was arrested after a domestic dispute in the 6500 block of Glacier Highway.

    He allegedly assaulted a police officer.  He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.
