Police to watch parking violations at airport

    Juneau, Alaska (KINY) Police want to remind residents that parts of the airport are not meant for parking.

    Juneau police issued this notice to motorists who visit the Airport Friday.

    Pursuant to Federal mandate, do not park near the curb at the Juneau International Airport. The front curb is for ACTIVE pick up and drop off of passengers. Waiting or parking at the airport terminal curb is prohibited. If you are not ready to actively pick up or drop off passengers, please drive around the circle, park in the short term lot (15 minutes without charge), or use the cell phone waiting parking lot located near Alaska Industrial Hardware.
    Any vehicle not in the process of actively loading or unloading passengers is subject to being ticketed and/or towed.
