Anchorage, Alaska (KINY) A crash between an SUV and motorcycle resulted in the deaths of a Fairbanks couple, a five-year-old child and the child's mother Monday.
Alaska State Troopers said Cary Taylor Bloomquist, 40, of Palmer, crossed the center line on the Parks Highway and collided with a south bound motorcycle operated by Jeffrey Esley, 63, of Fairbanks.
Bloomquist, Esley and his passenger, Charlene Esley, 60, were killed. A passenger in Bloomquist's 2018 Subaru Outback, Adeline Bloomquist, five, died later at Providence Hospital. The SUV also struck a second motorcycle operated by David Fulton, 62, of Fairbanks. He was critically injured and was airlfited to an Anchorage hospital for treatment.
Troopers said after the initial crash a third vehicle driven by Heidi Fulton, 50, of Fairbanks, crashed into the Outback still in the northbound lane. Fulton was not seriously hurt. Two children in the truck, ages 3 and 10, were treated at Wasilla hospital for non life threatening injury.
State Troopers said the investigation into the crash continued Tuesday.
