Sitka, Alaska (KINY) US Coast Guard officials this morning reported air and ground searches have continued since Saturday night.
Multiple units from Juneau and Sitka have been looking by air and sea. Two people were on board the PA-18 Super Cub float plane that left the Sitka Seaplane Docks after 7 pm Saturday for a 20-25 minute tour of nearby Katlian Bay and Olga Strait to watch mountain goats.
The Coast Guatd reported the planes emergency locator transmitter did not go off which complicated the search.
Other agencies involved include the Alaska Air National Guard and Alaska State Troopers.
