Senator Dan Sullivan will have a role to play in next week's Republican National Convention.

The Alaska Dispatch reports that will be one of ten first-term republican senators to the stag during prime time Tuesday to describe how they helped win a majority in that chamber.

Sullivan had been left off a preliminary list of speakers earlier in the week. It's not the keynote speech that People Magazine had reported Sullivan might deliver, and far from rumors that Sullivan might be tapped as presidential nominee Donald Trump's running mate.

The Convention is being held in Cleaveland, Ohio, not far from where Sullivan was born.
