May 8th, Mother's Day, marks the day of the Spring Tide Scramble.

Also known as "The Mud Run", it's a messy but fun adventure of an approximately 4-mile course across the wetlands/channel to a flag on the Dike Trail and back to Fish Creek, as well as an approximately 7-mile course up Fish Creek Trail, down the ski hill road, across to the Dike Trail, and back to Fish Creek.

Come to the Fish Creek parking lot on North Douglas Highway between the 8-mile post and the bridge. Expect water and muck, so bring a towel and/or cover-up. Then warm up after your adventure with hot coffee donated by Heritage and homemade treats.

Race day registration begins at 8:30. Forms can be obtained at Nugget Alaskan Outfitters, Foggy Mountain Shop, Pavitt's Health and Fitness, and both JRC/Alaska Club locations. Registration is $10.00 day of race, $5.00 by 5:00PM the day before, and $1.00 for kids 18 and under. Youth under 14 must follow shorter course only and must stay with an adult.
