Seward, Alaska (KINY) Inmates in an Alaska jail were made to sit naked in their cells for 12 hours after they acted up.
A group of prison guards were wrong when they made 11 inmates strip naked at the Seward Correctional center in 2013, according to a new state report.
The investigation found the inmates were brought out of their cells for acting up, shackled in handcuffs and forced to disrobe in front of female guards.
Neither the department nor the ombudsman's office could comment on whether the correctional officers involved in the incident had been dismissed.
One of the declined recommendations was for the correctional officers to wear body cameras to help clear up inmate complaints. That's something police officers have begun doing in departments across the country. One of those departments is the Ketchikan Police Department.
