Track Palin pleads not guilty

Palmer, Alaska (KINY) Track Palin will remain out of jail on bail and electronic monitoring after he pled not guilty to charges he assaulted his father at an arraignment hearing Monday.

Palin appeared by phone and made no statements.  The judge set a tentative trial date for the week of February 26.  He is accused of assaulting Todd Palin in December in a dispute over not being allowed to borrow a family vehicle.  The father suffered minor injuries in the incident.

Palin faces charges of burglary, misdemeanor assault and criminal mischief.  Police said alcohol might have played a factor in the incident.
