Juneau, Alaska (KINY) A complaint about illegal hunting led to the arrest of a Juneau man.
Alaska State Troopers said they responded to a complaint on Montana Creek Road Saturday and arrested Frederick Damer, III, 54 of Juneau. The Trooper Dispatch said Mr. Damer had two outstanding warrants on minor charges. They went on to report that while they searched Mr. Damer they discovered a handgun concealed on his person that he had failed to disclose to them. Damer is a convicted felon and is prohibited from possessing any firearm.
Damer will face charges of felony misconduct of weapons in the third degree, and misconduct involving weapons in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor. He was transported to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center and held without bail.
