Man Arrested in Wasilla for Assault and DUI

    Juneau, AK (KINY) - For a Wasilla family, Valentine's Day resulted in an arrest involving a domestic dispute.

    According to State Trooper Dispatch notes,

    Late Wednesday night, State Troopers received a report of a man threatening a family member with a weapon. Investigation revealed that Troy Daniel Evarts, who is 33-years-old and of Anchorage, had repeatedly threatened that family member, placing them in fear. Evarts also was operating a vehicle while drunk and was in possession of two firearms.

    Evarts was arrested and charged with: Assault in the Third Degree, Assault in the Fourth Degree, Driving Under the Influence, Misconduct Involving Weapon in the Fourth Degree 2x, and Harassment in the Second Degree. He was remanded into custody at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility in Palmer.
