    It's a weekend of music, food, and fun For the whole family at the University of Alaska Southeast Auke Bay Campus.

    Community Day featuring the Campus Carnival of Arts will be from 11:00AM - 4:00PM at UAS on Saturday.

    Chancellor Rick Caufield, "Games for kids, fun food items, and so forth. We encourage anybody to come out next Saturday on the 14th. It's free and it's just a lot of fun."

    A Juneau Arts and Humanities Council annual collaboration with Juneau Jazz & Classics and the university, Community Day celebrates the arts through live music, local artists, crafters, food, and more.     There's more music Sunday from Juneau Jazz and Classics, with the first concert that afternoon from 3:00 - 4:00 and it's free, "In our Egan Lecture Hall on the Auke Lake Campus, and this is one of the visiting groups that will be here for Jazz & Classics, is called Third Coast Percussion. So we encourage people who would like to hear them for free to come on out. Then on Sunday night at 6:30 one of the regular Jazz & Classics events is called Puttin' on the Ritz and it's held in our Egan Library."

    Puttin' on the Ritz – 6:30 p.m. Egan Library - features a delightful mix of classical and jazz artists and an exceptional hors d'oeuvres buffet with special 30th Anniversary celebration desserts and a no-host bar. Get tickets here.

    Plus the big UAS Alumni and Friends annual golf tournament in Haines is coming up Saturday May 22nd.

    Tickets, $200 for current members oor $240 for non-members, include boat transportation, breakfast, lunch, and a light dinner.

    You can form your own team or join other Alumni & Friends as an individual competitor.

    The boat departs Statter Habor at 8:30 AM and arrives back in Juneau at 9 PM.
