Juneau, AK (KINY) - An employee of McDonald's alerted police that a woman had sprayed pepper spray in the restaurant's bathroom and parking lot. This took place on Monday evening.
The woman in question is Casey Muir, a 31-year-old Juneau resident. Police found her holding a can of bear spray, which officers repeatedly asked her to put down. After several minutes, she put down the spray and was placed into handcuffs.
That restaurant employee also claimed that the Muir tried to punch a child.
Upon investigation, police gathered that Muir pointed the bear spray at a McDonald's employee, playing the employee in fear of being sprayed. It was also alleged that Muir approached a family in the restaurant's parking lot and attempted to punch a 4-year-old girl.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Muir was placed under arrest for two counts of Assault. She was then transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
