Wood pile planned burn at Dredge Lake

    JUNEAU, Alaska (KINY) - A 1500-square-foot wood pile of sticks cleared from beaver dams in Dredge Lake will be burned Thursday near the recreation area.

    The public will likely be able to see smoke from the fire Thursday and Friday.

    Four crew members  from the Juneau Ranger District, Tongass National Forest, will be managing the fire using a tractor and engine.
