Not A Popularity Contest

    Not A Popularity Contest

I know the assembly and Rorie Watt have expressed concern on where our budget is taking us and I appreciate that. In a business class I took about 60 years ago, we were taught if you don't bring in enough income to pay the bills, you will need to make cuts. Banks don't appreciate deficit spending, nor do the public voters. In know it isn't popular among government employees to cut their jobs, but you aren't running a popularity contest with employees.

They are working for you and hired to do a job. You were voted into office to do a job, not be popular.

Sometimes being the "boss" isn't a nice job but it is required to make it work. If you find it too difficult to make the hard decisions maybe it is time to move on.
